DO ALL YOUR PRACTITIONERS SEE MY FILE?
The benefit of a Multidisciplinary Clinic is that we can work together to help the patient in multiple aspects of care. We can share information within the clinic practitioners only when the patient gives consent.
DO I NEED A DOCTOR’S REFERRAL?
You do not need a referral to make an appointment. Some insurance companies require a referral from a medical doctor for some of the services we offer. Check with your personal coverage to be sure!
DO YOU DIRECT BILL MY INSURANCE PLAN?
We can submit your claim on your behalf to most insurance plans for most of our services. Please bring your insurance card to your first visit or add it to your account online!
HOW OLD DO YOU HAVE TO BE TO SEE A CHIROPRACTOR?
It's never too early or too late to see a chiropractor. Adjustments for babies and children are gentle and non-invasive. As our spine ages, there are a variety of techniques we can use to ease pain and stiffness.
IS CHIROPRACTIC SAFE WHILE PREGNANT?
Not only is it safe, it is beneficial! The body goes through so many physical changes through pregnancy and can benefit from chiropractic during any trimester. We have pregnancy pillows to allow for a comfortable and safe adjustment. Make sure to tell your chiropractor if you are pregnant or trying to get pregnant.
IS MASSAGE JUST FOR RELAXATION?
While it is great way to promote relaxation, massage therapy is so much more. Massage helps manage pain, reduce stress, improve circulation, decrease muscle tension, ease breathing difficulties, lower blood pressure, reduce headaches, improve mobility, promote sleep, manage anxiety & depression and helps improve your overall wellness.
CAN I GET A MASSAGE IF I AM ALREADY IN PAIN?
With the appropriate pressure, massage can have a direct effect on the circulatory system, which helps reduce inflammation and helps relieve pain. You are encouraged to communicate with Mariah about your pain/comfort level at any time during your massage.
HOW DO ACUPUNCTURE NEEDLES FEEL?
Acupuncture needles are very fine and made of surgical grade stainless steel. There can be some sensation with insertion, and you may feel a small pinch. Silicone coated needles provide additional ease of comfort upon insertion. Quite often, patients report that they feel nothing at all when the needles are inserted.
WHY SHOULD I SEE A DIETITIAN?
Although there are a multitude of options available for you to choose from including books, the internet, and fad diets, they are unlikely to address your unique preferences and lifestyle. With the help of a dietitian who will take the time to learn about you, offer customized information, advice, and strategies, you will experience the best results.
